Activity-wise we can play volley ball, beach soccer, chit chat, captain ball etc etc. This type of thing very FLEXIBLE de..=P If need to borrow any equipment from club, better ask president first LOL!!

This Saturday, we will be paying a visit to Vincent at Changi Pier. Its been 6 months, it should be right that we pay him a visit.

Date: 13 & 14 or 20 &21 (both is saturday & sunday)

Cost: Ferry: $48 (per person)

Bus: $20 (for both days. Inclusive of tips)

Hotel: $46 (per person) Is Hotel 89... not 81!!!!

Food: Seafood dinner & Morning Buffet = $20

Total: $130

This is the package deal which i saw.... Compare to the others which i have search... Resort is much more expensive(alot more i assure you.... like $160 per room??) Therefore, i think that hotel is more affordable (for us...). Both the ferry and bus is bo bian...

There are other additional charges if we want to have like...

Massage: $20 (2 hrs) (must tell me in advance those who wan it.. need to book..)

Go-kart: $15 (10 mins)

Movie: $2 (if i'm not wrong)

First would be CADC month which is a two-day event..
19th Dec: We'll meet at outram MRT at 10am and it will be $5 per person..
26th Dec: We'll meet in club at 1 pm and it will be $10 per person..

GENTING TRIP!!

Hello GAIA!!

Hahas i'm here to update your on the upcoming genting trip..

Date: 28 Dec 2009 -30 Dec 2009
Venue: Genting HighLand @ First world hotel (5 rooms no worries =D
Time: 28th: we'll meet at 5.55am at CCK (outside Gain City)
30th: we'll leave Genting at 1.15pm..

Please do not be late as the bus will not wait for anyone yeah.

Attendance:- JingQi, Jamie, XinLei, QiaoYan, Carlyn, YenCeen, Oscar, GanJoo, Nigel, Edmund, Nick, ChinGee, Lionel, Victor, ZhongWei and Farris

Total pax @ Departure-15 pax (yenceen will be meeting us at genting)
Arrival- 14pax (Qiaoyan and yenceen will not be coming back with us)

For the cost, it will be a total of $2010.00
The breakdown will be as follows: 5rooms + 28seater = (5 X280) + (4 X 70) + 40 = 1720
*$280 - cost of one room with 2 bus tickets
*$70- cost of one twoway bus ticket
*$40-cost of one oneway bus ticket

As we have decided to upgrade the bus to a 24/18 seater (depends on our luck but minimum will be 24 seaters), it will be additional $20 for 2way and $10 for one way..
Total: $1720 + ($20 X 14) + $10 = $2010

Individual cost

Yenceen-$43.75 (coz yc meeting us in genting, she will not be taking the transport)
Qiaoyan-$93.75 ($43.75+ $40 + $10) (this is for the hotel and oneway bus tickets)
The rest-$133.75 (it will be for the bus tix and hotel) ($2010 - $43.75 -$93.75)/14)
Remainder- $6.25 X 16 = $100..

Oh and i'm very sorry about it that this package does not include the theme park and breakfast..erm we can use the S$100 for the tickets then the remainder just top up..hehe erm really sorry about it.. =(

Things to bring would be all those necessity, money, passport and a pen (need your to fill up smt) and stuff that your wish to bring etc..

*the white card that your need for entry into malaysia is with me le..pass to your on that day yeah or those who wish to collect it earlier can get from me
*oh and i will change the S$100 into ringgit for your..no worries
*Do ensure that your passport have a validity of 6 months and above.
*Do not be late on the 28th yeah (maybe can go somebody hse the night before)

As you guys know, we took part in the SP Cheers and got into the finals yay! So we may need to go for rehearsals as well as the actual day of performance. The dates will be as follow:

As your know that in the coming few weeks, there will be many upcoming events. So, hope to see all of your around in club oh!

Like we have just discussed, the Overseas trip would be to Genting..YEAH!! woohoo,this would be GAIA's first overseas trip..think it would be fun!

Details are as follows:

Date: 21st-23rd Dec 2009

Lets assume that there are 15 of us going and each room is going to take in 3 pax.

1)Five star Tour Agency

Room: $128 X 10ppl =$1280
Transport: $90 X 5ppl =$450
Extended night for rooms: $85 X 5rooms =$425
Total: $2155

ie..it will be $144 for one person. (staying in first world hotel-deluxe room)

2)For Grassland

It will be the same but with an additional themepark tickets.
The tickets would be a one day pass( will double confirm again) and it is $16 per pax.
Therefore it would meant $159.70 per pax for the trip.

Er, G.A.I.A outing seems to be un-holdable on the 31st of Oct because there will be Halloween Event, the nearest date where everyone is free and no event will clash, will be on the 14th of Nov, which is still quite far away.

Probably by then, we shall have our Picnics. We can still have dinner together during events ;) no worries.

Anyway, for the Welfare Halloween event, G.A.I.A will be preparing, Fried Rice, French Fries and Nuggets! Reporting time will be 8:30pm at clubhouse, there will events and movie screening! Those who haven pay $3 to Jamie, please do so ASAP? We will be gathering at Lionel's place on the 30th of Oct, he will not be going to school, so any time will be fine i suppose. Outing right, most probably we will be settling for a picnic due to the OVERWHELMING response.

As for the other suggestions, we will carry out those outings at a later time. We will have different events :)

As for now what we can decide on is let the PICNIC outing be on the 31st of October, which is a Saturday and approximately 2 weeks away. SO please make arrangement so that you all will be free on that day alright xD.
Time and Date will be confirmed again when the time is getting closer, meanwhile, rest well and yeah BE PREPARED for the reopening of school! :D

Hello GAIA,

we are now officially certified guaranteed pure breed MIUs!!
The past 4 days has been tiring, but glad to know that everyone put in their best efforts for the camp.
Kudos to our dear CMI, Chicky, for his contributions and being a good 头 (translate to hokkien)! :D

The camp is now over, hope everyone has a good rest, esp those working/itp-ing!

On a side note, a big thank you to those who made the time and effort to go to Vincent's place yesterday to pass his parents the collage.

Hey everyone! :D

Interaction camp 09 is over! CLAPCLAPCLAP

Well done to all MIUS! You all did a fantastic job.

Not forgetting the PCs and Cooks though. Good job to everyone :)

Many interesting things happen throughout the whole process of this camp.
I hope that all these happy things, or even sad things can be part of memories to everyone of us ;)

Some ban sha, some jian cao, some carry pails, some push the wheel barrow, some clean the canvas, some hammer pegs, some hammer bamboo poles, some fill holes with sand, some tied water bags, some played with water host, some helped with being station masters, some complain, some eat non stop, some sleep non stop, some went missing, some got sunburn-ed, some suffer injuries, some suffer cuts, some eat little, some helped the pcs to put on make up, some help them to style their hair, some make a joke out of themself, some sang wrongly, some sang till they have got no more voice, some cried while leading the juniors, some got angry and happy on the other hand.

Many different things happened at the same time. I hope everyone of us will work together even better in future. Many more opportunities :D hiakhiak.

Vincent's Montage

Hope everyone enjoyed their 中秋节 celebrations!

Anyway, just to inform all Year 2s...

This Sunday, 11 Oct will be (or would have been) Vincent's 19th Birthday.
The photo montage should be ready by Wednesday, will be put in club (to be confirmed) and then when we break camp on Sunday, we'll take the montage down to Vincent's place and give it to his parents.
This is just a token of appreciation of his particaption in CADC and the wonderful memories he had given us.
His parents have already been informed of this during the funeral last Sunday.

Of course, this is not a compulsory event, just hope that everyone will be able to make it as he was, afterall, one of us.
This is the least we can do for him, since he had always contributed as much as he could during various CADC events in the past.

If any of you are not going for I/C Camp, you can still meet us at Toa Payoh MRT.
Time will be confirmed again after we break camp bah.

Those who would like to take a look at the montage, please tell Carlyn.

Vincent's funeral will be starting from today, 01/10/09, and will be going on until Saturday, 03/10/09. So those who wishes to pay him the last respect, feel free to ask. Its a very sudden news for everyone of us.
No one would have expected him to pass away at this young age of 18 going 19.

Vincent was a nice guy who neither complain, nor grumble over things he had to do.
Life is short, treasure it before its too late.

Some of the year ones had brought up some very good suggestions on how to improve the tee to make it look better. After all, the tee is worn by you all mahs.

1. The picture of us, along with the little words at the bottom, could be changed to the back to make the tee look nicer. =)

2. The words," We are not friends forever, we are forever friends." is very meaningful, so changing the font to a self drawn/straight solid one could make the tee even better=)

Thanks for all the suggestions, because i can only do better with everyone's help =)
Please discuss this in the tagboard, and let me know about how you think, because if most of us agree, i would probably implement the changes to the tee.

I was just thinking about CADC outing peeps! And i was thinking of another movie outing again. ( and i hope its at vivo again. =) ) So, i was thinking which movie to watch, where and when to watch it Therefore, i want you guys and girls to tag what movie you all want to watch.

hey yo...this is jamie here..as your noe on the 5th july08..is welfare first event..graduation night..Love at First Sight..cost would be $55@ York Hotel..formal wear..I would sincerely hope that your would attend this event as it will be very fun and it is another opportunity for us-the Yr 1 08/09 to bond together..as most of us have been thru other cadc event like F.O camps/fusion, interim, sub-comm camp, we noe that we enjoyed all of it..Grad Night would be jus as fun and interesting..smt that is worth coming.. :D so ya, those who are interested..dont hesitate le..jus come=) and enjoy yourself..
to the welfare comm members..lets JIAYOU for our first event..making it a fun and memorable one for both the grads and the Yr 1-3s..:)

ok hi everyone! Farris here. Ok lah i'm mrichigo, but today i'm talking aobut something serious. Its about grad night.

As you know, grad night is one of the events held by the welfare comm and they are working day and night for it especially for welfare committee's committee head and asst. committee head Zhang kai and Jamie respectively.

I really hope that most of the cadc year 1s can go for the event. OK, i'm sure most of you barely want to go to the grad night because of the money. For those who cant really afford the money because it is too expensive, i can agree.

hahaha but i seriously hope you all can go! Like oscar said, we can bond together by going to the grad night and also the Mrichigo (and the SHUAI Oscar LOL!) will be there for sure! So, why not go? The price also decreased from $62 to $55 so like its quite ok. =)

Hahaha as we all know Karma. SOMEONE once said that if you bring sadness to others now, next time others will bring sadness to you. So if you go other people's event next time people might go to your event. (if you are lucky hahahaha!)

So why not cherish the yr1 CHILDhood (and i emphasis-ed the word CHILD) and bond with the rest. I assure you the grad night will be VERY VERY fun because its the friendly welfare that is organising. =) Eh, so why not just join in the fun and laughter that is in every CADC member's heart and go. maybe you might get eppo-ed. LOL joking. =)

the welfare comm has worked damn hard for you all to put up this event.
i am sure it's going to be fun.
we all know CADC events are always fun, F.o camp, fusion and sub com CAMP !
all of us enjoyed all this event and most of all, we love CADC.
maybe some of you all are not real close with us.

but if you miss more events, wouldnt you all lose more opportunities to bond with us?
so come on, i personally hope you all will go !
you can never imagine the fun we all will have if we all go.
you pay the money to have FOOD, FUN and most of all , bonding between us , so i know after u read this post, u all will change ur mind and go de.
